Sleep: Didn't get to sleep until 3 a.m. again, woke up at 8, crashed until 9.

Breakfast: 4 eggs (2 whole, 2 white), broccoli, black beans, 8 oz mild with whey, coffee

1-1/2 later to the gym. No great workout, but I busted a sweat and was rubber legged with I left. But not the workout I'd planned.

Squats 45/20 reps, 65/20 reps, 95/15 reps, 115/12 reps, 125/ 8 reps only to parallel. Should have been 20 deep on each, and more weight besides.

Leg curls 70 lbs./20 reps, 12, then 8 reps @ 90 lbs

Leg extensions 3 sets of 12 @72.5

Biceps curl 12 @ 50 lbs, 8, then 6 at 62.5

Triceps extension: 18, then 8 @ 50.

Less than my best, and no process. Lasted about 40 minutes. I was wiped.

So, I repeat my rhetorical question: Where does energy come from? Sleep, obviously. If I go to the gym for lifting on M, W and F, should I take a sleeping pill on S, Tu, and Th? It's doable (although I hate the damn things).

Does it come from dinner the night before and not from breakfast? How long does it take to convert food to useful energy?

Anyway, I have a book to read most of before class tonight.
