Saturday, September 18

Sleep: Took the pill, slept hard for 8, so that's okay
Stress: So much work to do for school!
Diet: Better. Plenty of beef last night, crustless quiche made with 6 eggs (2 yolks), greek yogurt, low-fat cheddar cheese and broccoli. Better than the last one I made.

Left shoulder hurts, at one particular pressure point. Wonder what/when I pinged it.

Saw the mailman just as I was leaving for the gym. BIG mistake, as it turns out. Letter for me with bad news about one key element for my dissertation. My adviser says it might have happened anyway, I say I fucked up and it could have been prevented. Very depressed about it.

Went to the gym anyway:

Pulldowns, different weights, trying to do the reverse of the chin strength thing.
Pullovers.
Back bend things (that's not Roman Chair. What's it called?)
Knee ups
Sled thing (lazy man's squat)
Biceps curls with cambered bar.
15 minutes on Stairmaster, "fat burning" program, level 5.
