Exercises I Actually Like

Tuesday, November 23, 2010

Lasted about a 1/2 hour tonight. Once again, barely made it through warm ups.

Did situps (2 sets of 25), tried pushups but shoulders yelled, tried L-seats (ditto) switched to chair dips (2 sets of 15), scap pulls (3 sets of 5). Intended to do zerchers but was -- once again -- totally pooped.

Oh, and I tried to do a kettlepress press with the smallest weight on my left arm. Son of a bitch, it hurt. Maybe my baby weights at home.

Left, ate something, then walked around my apartment complex twice (1 mile).

This sucks. Maybe switching to mornings will be different. Maybe not, but I've got to work through until those endorphins kick in. Keep in mind this quote of Dave Drapers from a couple of years ago:

"I'm one of those marvels who enters the gym a small train wreck (perhaps, you can identify) and, after stretching out and warming up, becomes a large train wreck disguised as an Iron Horse pulling endless steel cars with great exertion. I build momentum, unloose a few endorphins, accumulate sufficient determination, revive some inspiring old memories, ignore the fading pain and unleash traces of calcified energy, endurance and might." -- Dave Draper, 7/5/2007
