Exercises I Actually Like

Okay! Car to campus, walk to shuttle, shuttle to metro, metro to Dupont Circle, bus to Penn Station, cab to Greenwich Village. Almost all sitting. All-day conference for journalism historians. Ditto. Then back today: cab from Greenwich Village to Penn Station (well, side street really), bus to Dupont Circle, metro to College Park, shuttle to campus, walk to car, drive home.

At least I did a lot of walking in NYC (when I wasn't at the conference). With this lift in my left shoe, walking seems very therapeutic. Am supposed to order two more, each higher by degrees. I've apparently been lopsided all these years! Who knew?

Diet went all to hell in NYC, but the food was very good.

On the bus, coming into DC, two BIG dudes where outside some row houses with a boom box, facing each other, doing knee-ups. Looked a little like dancing, but if you're big enough nobody razzes you.

Made turkey meat loaf (with egg whites, veggies) to get me through the rest of the week.
