Broccoli quiche for breakfast, and tuna and egg white salad for early lunch. So far, I'm eating more or less right today.
Doing the wall dance with a tennis ball and each shoulder in turn. Kinda of like that old joke about beating your heat into the wall: feels so good when you stop.
More specifics on pain:
The first day when I went back to the gym, I picked up the PVC pipe and couldn't get it past overhead. Switching to the longest pipe helped a bit. Second day was a bit better. The pain is right where I think the deltoid tapers to a point between the biceps and triceps (I never took anatomy, but I think that's what's happening.
My left hip. Let's see... that's been going on for almost a year. The pain is in the outer glute and the inner groin. But just on that side. This is the leg that is stronger than the other, the one I apparently favor when standing. It's also the same side that hurts in my lower back on long road trips in the car. I have an "old person's pillow" in the car to push my hips forward in the bucket seat and that helps a bit. Don't know if that's related or not.
The muscles on the right side of my spine still pull when I walk any distance whether or not I'm carrying anything. Also the side that seizes up while rowing for any length of time. Don't know how that's related either except that I'm completely out of balance and should probably be Rolfed.
I will add to my daily notes "What Hurts," if anything. Not to whine about it, but to try and keep track, note improvements (if any), and at least learn to describe it accurately with an eye towards professional help (if needed).
That said, just because my shoulders hurt (I say to myself), doesn't mean that I can't do ab work or squats without weight across my shoulders. My legs have never become as flexible as needed.
Dinner: Pulled out chicken* to cook, it had gone bad. I get so angry with myself when I let that happen. Cooked up the three pounds of hamburger I bought all at once. Don't know how I'll eat it, but at least it's cooked. Ate a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with a glass of milk and went to bed.
* This is not the Rozen Chicken, that's in the Reezer.
