Exercises I Actually Like

Second visit to new chiropractor today. Diagnosis: the scoliosis in my spine is bad and may be getting worse. Would certainly explain my back pain. The spine on the left is correct; my x-ray is on the right.

The doc recommended a harness thing that looks a) expensive, b) uncomfortable, and c) rather kinky. For now, manipulation and exercise and hope.*

Also my left leg is shorter than my my right (which explains, I guess, why my left leg is stronger), so I've now got a lift in one shoe. Supposed to help; we'll see.

So strengthening my back rises to a high priority along with undoing the stiffness in my shoulders and legs.

The doc says the nausea is not entirely uncommon, and went on about the central nervous system, blah blah. Didn't quite follow. Anyway, happened again today and another two hour crash and burn.

* Also another reason to lose the excess weight NOW. I'm sure my back wouldn't be quite so unhappy if there was less to lug around. Oh, and also no more one shoulder backpack carrying... I knew that, but I don't do it.
