Walking across campus early in the day, from Knight Hall to Marie Mount (near the Administration building) was no problem on the downhill portion. Walking back to Knight Hall, I felt as out of breath as a 300 pounder and my calves burned like I'd run a marathon. I thought, "What the hell?!?" I had to walk back down a second time, and at least the second walk back uphill wasn't quite so bad. I thought, "Well, okay, if the second time is a little better than the first, and the third a bit better than the second, then I guess I'm not doomed yet."
Was driving home from campus when it occurred to me that once I got home I wouldn't want to leave. So I quickly turned onto University and drove to the gym. I didn't have my gym sweats with me, but I figured I'd just have to manage without. Didn't last long, though. 10-12 minutes rowing and I was winded. Still, it WILL come back. Keep pushing.
